🍊 Interesting facts about Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides)
Sea buckthorn has an exceptionally high concentration of vitamin C – more than lemons. Through symbiosis with bacteria, it even produces vitamin B12, unique in the plant kingdom. Its kernel oil has wound-healing properties, and the berries are detoxifying and helpful for colds & headaches. As a shrub, it grows up to 5–6 meters tall and, with its deep roots, stabilizes even steep banks.
🌲 Interesting facts about Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis)
The arborvitae – also called Thuja – is evergreen, hardy, and extremely tolerant of pruning. It is often grown as a hedge for privacy & wind protection. Its wood is so durable that it is used for roof shingles. When rubbed, the shoots have an intensely aromatic scent – wear gloves, as skin contact can cause irritation.

The larch is the only European conifer that sheds its needles in winter – golden yellow in autumn, bright green in spring. It can live up to 800 years and has the hardest wood among all conifer species. In ancient times, it was considered a sacred tree with protective power against evil. Larch balm has antiseptic properties.
How it works
Press each seed into the soil, water – and let it grow. After growing, you can plant each seedling directly with the compostable pot into the ground or a larger container. The pots decompose without residue within 12–24 months.

🎂 Birthdays – three gifts in one that grow & bloom
1. Place about 5 tree seeds in the freezer for 24 hours, then in lukewarm water for 24 hours to soften. Please note: do not apply this step for Moringa. Moringa cannot tolerate frost.
2. Place WOODY on a saucer. Press the softened seeds 1-2 cm deep into the soil. Then water until the soil is nicely moist.
3. Place WOODY in a bright spot. Keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate. Germination can take about four to twelve weeks.
4. Plant your tree when it is more than twice as tall as the pot is wide. Place the tree, including the compostable pot, into the soil.
