Interesting facts about the Nordmann fir

The Nordmann fir (Abies nordmanniana), also known as the Caucasian fir, is by far the most popular Christmas tree species in Germany – and for good reason:

• Growth height: up to over 50 meters, life expectancy up to 500 years
• Needles are not prickly & stay on the branch for a particularly long time
• All branches grow evenly distributed – ideal as a Christmas tree
• Deep roots make mixed forests more storm-resistant
• Hardly any conifer scent – pleasant indoors

How it works

Press seeds into the soil, water – and let them grow. After cultivation, you can plant the seedling directly with the compostable pot into the ground or a larger container. The pot decomposes without residue within 12–24 months. Your plant will root freely and undisturbed.
