Ginkgo biloba – the living fossil that survived Hiroshima
The ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) is no ordinary tree – it's a living fossil. It has barely changed for over 100 million years and even survived the atomic bomb in Hiroshima: just 800 meters from the detonation point, it sprouted again in the spring of 1946.
