Lilac – Scent of Kings, Ottoman Gift & Sun Worshiper with Character

The lilac (Syringa vulgaris) was first cultivated at the courts of kings and sultans many centuries ago – and according to legend, it came to Europe as a gift from the Ottomans to the Holy Roman Emperor. A shrub with history and an incomparable fragrance.

As a true sun worshiper, even intense heat doesn't bother it: the more sun, the more abundant its ornamental flower panicles. It needs nutrient-rich soil and is very wind-resistant. When pruning, only remove withered flowers and dead branches – this way, it will reliably sprout again the following year.

  • ✓ 5–10 forest-grade seeds – for reliable germination
  • ✓ Plastic-free packaging – in 100% compostable Seed-Cap with grass paper closure
  • ✓ Origin Germany – regional & sustainable
  • ✓ Intense fragrance & magnificent blossoms – a garden classic
  • ✓ Heat- & wind-resistant – robust and easy to care for
